His challenge is shocking: one of Arthur’s knights may cut off his head, but must be willing to have his own cut off a year later. Only young Sir Gawain is brave enough to accept the challenge—but is he brave enough to finish it? This brilliantly written 14th century poem presents a lively picture of the Arthurian court, filled with chivalry, humour, and adventure.
